Sarah has a Camera!

Hello, everyone!

The Lord has been very good to us! We are currently in communication with several pastors who are interested in us coming to share with their churches. If you would like to have us share with your church family, or just with your family, we would love to talk to you! Typically we pursue people we think might be interested, but if we haven't contacted you yet, feel free to call or message us!

One exciting update in the Jackson house has been that I now have my own Canon 7D (which is a big, black camera). We now have two cameras for photography and beautiful video, and I have a better opportunity to sharpen my photography skills.

I have my very own 7D, just like my love!

I need all the practice I can get, because we've been hired to photograph a wedding in June! While we've already gotten to photograph one event professionally, this will be my first wedding. I'm pretty nervous, but Billy is confident that I'll do well.

In addition to the excitement of working on a team, these photography jobs are a blessing because they help Billy to keep his skills sharp. In order to support us, he's currently working as an apprentice carpenter, where the only thing he gets to shoot is a nail gun. Photographing weddings is one way that he can practice the work that the Lord has called him to do at RGBI.

"The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day."
Proverbs 4:18

There is good news! Even though an active rebel against the King of the universe and condemned to eternal punishment there is hope for you! The son of the King of the universe who created all things, His only son came to earth as a man to take the punishment of our rebellion. He lived a perfect life that had not a moment of rebellion or wrong against the King and then took all the wrath and punishment that was due to the people the King wanted to redeem to himself, He took it upon himself in full.

Now, through the all powerful eternal Spirit of the King and the sacrifice of his Son we can become the servants and children of the King of the universe. We can be loved by Him as a Father and be saved from the punishment due us as rebels if we submit to him as King and make him first and ruler of our life. He is good! And glorious in his mercy to us! And in his plan to save us to himself and love us and protect us and free us from the evil that enslaves us in this world. Turn to Him! Cry out to Him! He can hear you. He is everywhere. He is all powerful! He has created the whole world and nothing anywhere can stop Him. Love Him and reject the evil and wrong that twists up your mind here in this broken world that has rebelled against the King and creator of the universe. Cry to God.

But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn,
which shines brighter and brighter until full day.
The way of the wicked is like deep darkness;
they do not know over what they stumble.
Proverbs 4:18-19

Hello everyone!

We are excited to announce that our Pac-man Pie Chart has a bigger grin! Thanks to the goodness of God and the generosity of His people, our support level has jumped to 15.8%!

Just look at that beautiful sight:

And just for comparison's sake:

This is such an encouragement to us!

Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we press onward. God has been faithful to bring more contact information to us, and we want to be faithful in pursuing every opportunity.

More than anything, we truly want to be a blessing to everyone who comes along side us. Our supporters, both in money and in prayer, are our teammates. When God sends us to Texas, the work that He allows us to do will, in a sense, also be done by them! Please pray that we can make them feel as included and vital as they should be and are.

And praise God for His generosity!

Recently we mailed and emailed our first newsletter as a married team, and it's been exciting to see how God has used it! To our great delight, people read it!

Speaking with people about our mission is much easier when they've recently read a little bit about it, and we know that it's encouraged our brothers and sisters to pray for us - and also to support us financially! New supporters have been contacting us, and I can't wait to get the next financial report from RGBI and widen our little Pac-Man's mouth! (See pie chart to the Left)

It took us a very long time to get it mailed out on our own, but we learned a lot from that first venture and when we send out our next one we're confident that it will all go much more smoothly.

If you would like to receive our newsletter updates by mail or email (or both!) please let us know by sending your email and/or address to and we'll make sure you get the next one!

Until then, you can currently view our February Newsletter in a page (the tab is above this post).

Support Raising

Part of the Rio Grande Bible Institute's ministry is to make Biblical Training as affordable as possible. They do this by having each member of the staff, from the president down to us, build their own Support Team.

A Support Team is made of people pledging to pray for and financially support the ministry of a missionary staff member (for example, Billy and the Video Ministry).
These people send money to RGBI using pledge cards or the internet.

That money goes into the account of the missionary they're supporting, and is used to pay them each week.

Even though RGBI functions as a missions organization, it is also an accredited college subject to all the regular laws and regulations (which means we get a normal paycheck, and can't work for less than minimum wage).

This mission/business approach is extremely effective, as can be seen by comparing the tuition costs of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and the Rio Grande Bible Institute:

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary:

Rio Grande Bible Institute:

That makes a degree earned at RGBI $449 more affordable!

Our personal goal is $2,800 a month. Because all of our income comes from our supporters, both the employee and employer taxes have to be raised, totalling 15.65%.
Thus, out of the original $2,800, 7% ($196) will be taken for administration fees, and 15.65% ($438) will be taken for taxes, which means we will be living on roughly $2,166 per month.

If you would like to join our support team, simply CLICK HERE to sign up! The sooner the pledges come in, the sooner we can get to work helping RGBI send biblical training courses out to the world.

And if you have any questions, please let us know! We would truly love to hear from you.
